I have already seen who wins this years NCAA Men’s Basketball National Champ and is the Kentucky Wildcats. Yes it is a very generic pick but listen up. I have picked a national champion before (Kentucky 2012) and they are ready to cut down the nets once again. Kentucky has all the tools it takes to win the big dance. Lead by Big O and Tyty Washington, the #2 seed in the East Region is in a perfect position to do it. I don’t want to hear that bullshit that they aren’t in the KenPom top 20 for both offensive and defensive efficiency rating because they pass the eye test. They have great shooting from Kellen Grady, a crafty scorer in Tyty, and veteran leadership from Sav Wheeler and Oscar Tshiebwe or however the fuck you spell his name. You’d be an absolute brick to not pick them.
Now let’s get into the matchups first round will be an absolute murder they play Saint Peter’s, WHO??? 30 point W. Next round Murray St. or San Francisco where there is still a 0% chance to lose, 25 point W. After that we get a “real” test in Purdue/Yale or Texas/VT, only thinking Purdue even has a chance of a close game but even then they have been struggling as of recently and will get squashed by the Cats. After that what Ohio St, Nova, Houston, Zona, Tennessee? You’d be an absolute clown to think any of these teams will match up with the skill, athleticism, and size of Kentucky. Kentucky rebounds, takes care of the ball, and out runs all these teams. Kentucky ranks 9th in offensive efficiency and 33rd in defensive efficiency only because they play in the high powered offensively dominant SEC. They haven’t been blown out by any team they have played this year and they have played Duke, Kansas, Notre Dame, UNC, LSU, Tennessee, Auburn, and Alabama. No other team is this battle tested and ready for every form of offense and defense than Kentucky.
